Director, Global Cybersecurity Policy
Amit is a Director, Global Cybersecurity Policy at Intel Corporation and a Lecturer at UC Berkeley’s School of Information. She graduated her JSD (doctor of science of law) from UC Berkeley School of Law, the world’s leading institution in law and technology. Her work on Cyberlaw, privacy and Intellectual Property has been published in leading journals and presented in top conferences including USENIX Enigma, USENIX Security, DEF CON (Skytalks), RSA, BlackHat, and Privacy. Security. Risk. 2018 (IAPP). She is the first Israeli LL.M. graduate to been admitted to the doctoral program at Berkeley or any other top U.S. doctoral program in law, on a direct-track basis. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from her LL.M. in IDC, Israel following the submission of a research thesis in the field of intellectual property law and standard-form contracts. She holds an LL.B. and a B.A. in Business Administration (Summa Cum Laude) from IDC, is admitted to practice law in Israel and has worked at one of Israel’s leading law firms, GKH Law. Her research interests include cybersecurity, patents, copyright, privacy and private ordering. Her work is informed by her previous technological background, promoting Israeli patented photovoltaic technologies, and by her military service in an elite intelligence unit.
